Food Basket Support was provided to 1900 Households in Ankara

Within the scope of combating the new coronavirus pandemic and its socio-economic epiphenomenon, MSYD has intensively carried out a food basket distribution for socio-economically vulnerable people and segments in Ankara between the dates of October 20, 2020 – December 23, 2020. In this framework, the content of the food baskets was determined to meet the monthly average food needs of a household of five people. The food baskets, detailed below, were delivered to 1900 families and / or households residing in Ankara and living in socio-economic fragility. The selection of families/households was made based on pre-criteria such as the ratio of family / household’s dependency ratio, the presence of vulnerabilities, and the use of negative coping strategies by families / households.

  3. 2 Kg Wheat Flour,
  4. 2 Kg Rice,
  5. 2 Kg Red Lentil,
  6. 2 Kg Bulgur,
  7. 1 Kg Beans,
  8. 850 Gr Tomato paste,  
  9. 3 Kg Pasta,
  10. 1 Kg Tea,
  11. 1 Kg Olive,
  12. 750 Gr Salt
