On the occasion of World Day Against Child Labor, a raising awareness session was organized by Association of Assistance Solidarity and Support for Refugees and Asylum Seekers (MSYD-ASRA) Mersin,Hatay and Ankara Community Centers and Physiotherapy Centers for the families of children who had to work as child laborers.
The programs and sessions focused on the negative effects of child labor on the physical, mental, psychological and social development of children. The Conditional Cash Transfer for Education (CCTE) Programmee was introduced in order to support the education of refugee children and to ensure the sustainability of their education. At the end of the session, families were given school materials in order to encourage children's education.
According to statistical data in the world today there are 152 million child workers and in Turkey, it is close to 2 millions. According to the data of the International Labor Organization, as of January 2019, 400 thousand of children cannot go to school even 645 thousands of children enrolled in schools.
As MSYD-ASRA family, we wish that the concept of 'Child Labor', one of the biggest problems in the world, will vanish. Stop the child Labor
