MSYD Attended Samsun International Students and Academics Workshop

Association of Assistance Solidarity and Support for Refugees and Asylum-Seekers (MSYD), General Directorate of Migration Management (GIGM) and United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) participated in Samsun International Students and Academics Workshop within the scope of Social Integration Meetings. In addition to the participation of academicians and international students from universities in the Black Sea region, the Deputy Governor of Samsun Mehmet Aktaş, Deputy Director of DGMM Dr. Gökçe Ok and DGMM Vice President of Compliance and Communication Department Ali Rıza Beşkat has moderated and performed the opening speeches. During the workshop, in the sessions entitled We Speak Migration and Integration with Academics, findings regarding the adaptation processes and studies in the field of social adaptation were discussed. In addition, the continuation of social cohesion, application and observations in Turkey were shared. Finally, the workshop ended with the exchange of views on national and local policies to be implemented in the social cohesion process. Ömer Çağrı Tecer attended the conference on behalf of MSYD.
