The MSYD Delegation participated the "Anti-Poverty Workshop" organized by the Urban Research Institute and organized under the "Service Guidelines for Municipalities" project, which was sponsored by the Presidential Local Policy Board. It is planned to produce a series of guides as a result of workshops planned to be conducted under four main topics: (i) theoretical and legal framework, (ii) current practices, (iii) conceptual framework and (iv) determination of principles.
n the opening session, Professor Tevfik ERDEM who are from Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University Political Science and Public Administration Department shared and emphasized the basic conceptual framework for combating poverty, basic theories about the field. The sessions focused on making public-civil society cooperation more effective, and current legislative arrangements on combating poverty and their responsiveness to the need in the field were analyzed. MSYD Head of Programs Erdem AYÇİÇEK emphasized the exceptional and unique role and place of of non-governmental organizations in the heading of fighting poverty. Ömer Çağrı TECER, MSYD Senior Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, made explanations about the cause and result relation between migration and poverty, while our Project Officer Ferit YARDAK emphasized the integrated social service model instead of given defined social assistance/support studies.
